| Concept of the Contest and Exhibition |
| Nihongo Art is a unique way to express
inventive ideas about words using Kanji (Japanese
ideograph characters) or Hiragana (Japanese alphabet) in illustrations. This year Ontario Japanese-language students submitted 135 drawings by the June 30th deadline. Starting in November 2004, the works will be displayed on rotation in The Japan Foundation, Toronto Library. The main purpose of the Touring Exhibition is to introduce Nihongo Art to students and schools that are located in more remote areas far from Toronto. |
